UK Minister for Culture to Convene Meeting on Maccabi Tel Aviv Fan Ban
A law enforcement official from the West Midlands has requested an urgent review of the ruling to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv's supporters from being present at the upcoming match.
Simon Foster, who supervises the force, explains that this appeal aims to determine whether the ban is appropriate, necessary, justified, reasonable, and a balanced step to accomplish a lawful objective.
"That must include consideration of all and any possible suitable, alternative options," the official emphasizes.
He has also requested to review the official ruling and recommendation from the safety committee, along with the law enforcement evaluation.
The commissioner underscores, however, that the ultimate ruling belongs to the committee and the authorities.
