Larian Studios Unveil a Latest Divinity, Calling it Their Largest RPG to Date
The speculation about this year's gaming ceremony reached a fever pitch, especially after presenter Geoff Keighley shared a mysterious image of a strange statue. The secret has been revealed. The acclaimed developer is working on a fresh Divinity game.
Titled simply Divinity, the game was presented with a bold trailer packed with striking imagery, from a figure engulfed in flames to scenes of revelry and the very unleashing of hell.
A Different Direction
Anyone anticipating Divinity Original Sin 3, this is not that. The studio stated ahead of time that a follow-up to its beloved RPGs is not being worked on now.
That said, the developer referred to this new Divinity as a evolution of the main series. This distinction hints that the team could be building a real-time experience as opposed to another tactical title. At this moment, we can only guess, as only a teaser video is available.
