Comedian Amy Schumer Confirms Divorce from Spouse of Seven-Year Marriage
Star and performer Amy Schumer has disclosed that she and her partner, cook Chris Fischer are getting a divorce after seven years of marriage.
The renowned comedian shared in an Instagram post on Friday, alongside a photo of the two of them on the subway, that they had made the "challenging resolution" to part ways and will keep prioritizing raising their son, who is six.
"Amicable and all love and respect! Family forever," she wrote.
The 44-year-old Schumer and 45-year-old Fischer, have been married since February 2018 and had their son a year later.

She humorously noted in the Instagram post that the split is unrelated to her shedding pounds and not because Fischer is an "decorated cook who can still attract attention".
He earned the prestigious James Beard award in the U.S. Culinary category for his 2015 Beetlebung Farm Cookbook: A Year of Cooking on Martha's Vineyard.

The pair collaborated on the Food Network reality show Amy Schumer's Cooking Lessons, which aired during the Covid pandemic.
